Types of 5-Axis Machining

5-axis machining is not limited to one setup. Depending on part geometry and tolerance requirements, it can be carried out in two main ways: 3+2 axis machining and simultaneous 5-axis machining. 3+2 Axis Machining
In 3+2 machining, the workpiece is rotated into a fixed position using two rotary axes, while cutting is performed with the three linear axes (X, Y, Z).
